“Don’t ask yourself what the world needs; ask yourself what makes you come alive. Then go do that, because the world needs people who have come alive.”
I love this quote – because it is so true. Have you ever tried to motivate someone to do something they really are not interested in? They give up easily and really lose focus.
But have you ever been around someone who LOVES what they do? They get so caught up in it…they forget about everything else. My boys love their business “Dude Perfect”. They begin working on it at the computer – sending emails, talking to businesses on the phone, reading what their “fans” have to say, dreaming of new ways to shoot basketballs. I see them at their desk in the morning and then when I come back home in the evening – they are still in the same place. “Did you eat lunch?”… “No, we forgot to.” “Have you moved since I left?” … “No, we have been working.” They absolutely love what they are doing. I don’t have to motivate them or convince them to do what they love.
What do you LOVE to do? What makes you come alive?
Personally, I LOVE to paint. I forget all about time – I definitely don’t want to stop and cook a meal. I have to make myself do other things.
I LOVE to help women find their purpose and to grow in their relationship with God. Noone has to convince me to talk to someone who is interested in making a difference with their life.
What did God create you to do? Think about it! Pray about it! Dream about it! Ask other people what you like to do. Find out – and come alive!!!!
